anyway, other than the fact that it takes 5 minutes to load a single page that replaces everything remotely flash on the page with awkward looking grey bars of nothing, I've been feeling giddy and stuff. it's a new-ish feeling. it probably won't last long, but I can confidently say that my optimism for things is at least on a higher level.

I went to the surplus store yesterday, gettin my jungle boots ordered next week. But Im considering putting that on hold since he has a knife there that I saw and is better than the bolo from 1912 that I was wanting. Its USMC Hospital Corpsman Knife from 1944. Imagine a bone saw having sex with a machete. Thats what this knife is.

I'll have to wake up at 2 am every morning, bike 8 miles, load and unload heavy shipment for 4 hours, pick up a cashier shift for another 4-6 hours, then bike another 8 miles home.

And considering I want to make a good impression, ill probably have to pick up an extra shift (judging by the way the interviewer hinted to me that he needs people to cross-train and basically never leave)

BUT I figure I can make this last until the first paycheck at least!

I, too, started a new job recently. I work in a mental health hospital now.

I tried getting into volunteer work for caretaking. I guess they require a driver's license to get around.

It's hard to tell, because I don't think I've ever been truly, deeply in love for 43 years. I've had girlfriends (and boyfriends) during that time, but not like this. Close, but not quite. And they're local, and furry.
