Resistance rp

In the year 2014, the world once again faced a global conflict on a scale not seen in 75 years since the United States entered World War II. A number of South American nations have become allies and enemies of each other ravaging the continent while Argentina has emerged as the so far dominant one hold everything south of Brazil in a firm grip calling itself, The Fourth Riech. Africa, already a troubled continent, had deteriorated further with all nations south of the Sahara desert crumbling and borders becoming skewed. Asia has so far kept fairly calm with conflicts limited to North and South Korea, Vietnam and Cambodia,, with China biding its time at home while focusing more on the United States. The European Union has disbanded and countries like Poland, Czech Republic, Ukraine have all reverted to Communism after their governments were overthrown. Russia, the largest of the former Communist countries, looks to the west for support in keeping its Capitalist economy and democratic government, but is slowly loosing hope as more towns and villages simply stop flying the Russian flag, and instead raise the red banner of the Soviet Union. Finally, North America, the homeland of the United States which was the beacon of freedom and capitalism, is divided. After China narrowly avoided economic collapse in 2013, it needed to recover with a daring plan, a full scale invasion of the United States. First by suprising the west coast states of California, Oregon, and Washington, the pushing through the Rocky Mountains which slowed them enough for the American forces to stop them at the Great Plains, after the US demonstrated its willingness to use nuclear weapons on its own soil. After the Great Flash of 2014, the lines hardened, China had a foothold it wouldn't give up in the US, and the US was pushing China far enough back so they would slowly crumble through bankruptcy by spending trillions in occupation of the Western United States. Alaska, Americas final frontier still is in firm grip of America, the Chinese want it, but can't break through the cold and the natives, so the Northern Oil still supplies the United States giving it another edge against China. Through all this the United Nations still remains together, albeit with most African countries withdrawn, it still holds power, even more so with China, a security council member in conflict with another council member, with one vote, China could crumble through sanctions and embargos, but so far has not, merely because they excel at hiding labor, prison, and death camps.

The Sun shined through the dirty window of the one room apartment the Chinese moved me to. It was cold on my makeshift bed and my stomach grumbled for food. I put my feet on the floor and sat for a minute while I looked around. I saw my coffee table on the rug, a UN flag on the wall, a dresser missing a drawer which held my only clothes, my sink which was surprisingly cleanish, a wood stove with a few glowing embers in it, another table with a radio on it which was able to pick up Canadian radio surprisingly, and the refrigerator which also cover a hole in the wall. I stood up and walked to the frige and pulled out a loaf of bread, cheese, and an egg, then walked to the small wooden stove and placed my food next to it while I put in a couple of logs with tinder and lit it. I went over and pulled out a tshirt and pair of jeans from the dresser, both kinda dirty, and covered myself while the fire warmed up.
"I should start wearin clothes to bed so I don't wake up half frozen anymore", I argued with myself and replied, "then again that'd tear em up more. I need to stop talking to myself."

Skill: Being unnoticed and unimportant, people watch him for a while, but lose interest quickly as he never seems to be doing anything important such as looking at the sky, or wandering aimlessly; allowing him to take bits and pieces of whatever he wants.

Wandering through an apartment building, the skylights in the halls occasionally splattering a dull grayish light on the already dreary hallway, "So... where is everyone? Usually places like this have some kind of guard right?" speaking in a high, soft tone of voice and carrying on through the boring corridors. Clicking heels loudly; trying to alert people to his presence, "Huh... we-" ears twitching and sniffing the air, "I knew somebody had to be here." continuing down the hallway clicking loudly.

I laced my boots up as I heard heard footsteps outside, alone, or more stepping quietly. The fire wasn't crackling yet, and I hadn't yet put my food on the stove. I grabbed the small piece of metal that I sharpened with a cloth strip on the dull end and shoved it in my boot laces around my ankle and covered it with my pants. I snuck close to the door and got down on the floor, while the Chinese may have put a board over the peep hole in the door to see who's there, there was enough of a gap for me to see out under. I saw a pair of heels and moved back trying to be unnoticed.

The frigid wind whipped around my long overcoat, chilling me to the bone. I cursed my resistance uniform; even the slightest zephyr sent goosebumps across my flesh.. The edge of town was in plain sight, just beyond this apartment building. My eyes darted from side to side. I silently prayed that no one would see me until I crossed over the city limit, for being noticed by anyone would mean certain doom for me. The red banners glared angrily over the streets, watching my every move as I made my way past the shabby apartment building. The front door was slightly ajar, and that meant someone was inside and coming back out very soon. I quickened my pace to almost a jog, my heart racing much faster in my chest.

I heard running outside, I moved to the window and looked out to the street from behind a gap in the boards, there I saw a resistance runner. I feared for the unknown person, but feared more for myself. Unknown to me though, the fire had grown to be a bit larger now, and smoke began to billow from the pipe outside. I kept watching her down there, darting around cover.
"Should I help her?"

"La la la..." still walking around the halls up and down. Clicking my heels still enjoying my stroll "I wonder who's in there?" I walk past the door with a board over the peep hole, "Hellu?"

Species is only identifiable by ears, voice is raspy, middle range pitch.

I pull myself up onto the abandoned radio tower's maintenance platform with a labored grunt. The position would leave me vulnerable to snipers, but if I made it all the way up the ladder, there was little chance of being noticed now. I drew a pair of binoculars from my backpack and scanned the area — starting with the smoking chimney, shifting my attention to the runner outside.

"The resistance is bold in this town... running about in broad daylight? Must be looking to get themselves shot..."

I back away from the rail and lean against the steel frame of the tower. I strike a match on the floor and stare into the flames as they dance against the backdrop of the city. For a moment, I savor the idea of burning the whole thing to the ground, but it passes as the flame nears my hand. From my vantage point, I study the major roads and landmarks of the town. My rations were running low, and I needed to find something to eat soon. The only promising sources of food are a distant Chinese base and an old supermarket. I descend to the base of the tower and set a bearing for the grocery store.

I grew completely silent, hearing someone outside scared me, my thoughts drifted to the chinese, but then to the fact my door was still standing and not on the floor with rifles on me. I stayed quiet and waited for them to pass. I moved slowly down to my ankle and pulled my pants up and then pulled out my shiv. Even if the chinese knocked my door down now, getting a shiv hidden is as simple as throwing it in the fire.

Spins around and stands against the wall tapping my toes and heels alternately, "Being quiet wouldn't help you hide from me, I can hear your breathing, and I can kind of smell you." my softer, high pitched voice floating on the air, muffled slightly by the door, "I'm not going to hurt you, It would be hard for me to hurt somebody such as you love. You have food, much better food than any other person I've found, and thus I am on your side."

In the time I heard the voice I moved over to the stove and pulled a 8mm Walther P38 from under it in a box and made my way to the door. I held it up and stood there, "listen, I've heard stories about starving families, girly, but they turned out to be savages who would kill me for it. If I give you a piece of bread, promise to leave? Ill even toast it for you." I held my breath and hoped this would work, but most of my hope had been broken when the chinese pushed west and nearly starved everyone to the point of cannibalism loosing its taboo status.

"Now why would I want to leave you all alone? That would be awfully sad." tapping on the door now, rhythmic, 1-2-3-4.

I pondered for a minute an thought to myself, "could make a decent distraction if its a setup." I walked back towards the door, "alroight, turn and go face the wall on your 6, put your arms as high as you can and spread your legs."

The door sounded like an old vault door, and for how it was, it was as close as I could get. I opened the door and rushed out shoving my pistol into the back of my pants. "Just stay still while I frisk you, no weapons, no trouble, no problem." I started patting my hands starting at your feet, up your legs, sides, arms and back. Then moved close and patted your chest and stomach until, "uh, sorry for the girly comment." I backed up and patted the rest of you down. "Alroight, get in here." I held the door open.

"Frisk eh?" I turn around and smile at you, with my soft features "But I do look like girl though, I don't mind, it helps a lot of the time." I give you a kiss on the cheek and walk past you.

"I work for the United Nations, not the TSA. Ill take your word for it, I will say though, I hear one chopper or ching chong soldier and ill shoot you where you stand and not think twice. I opened a wardrobe and pulled out a woodland camo uniform with a UN flag on the arm and the usual rank, name, and US ARMY tag. I also pulled out black combat boots, a flak jacket and my sky blue beret.
