| They shouldn't be allowed to be near me, I always do awful things with cartoon characters. D:
So yeah, I decided to join this place after all. At first I didn't like the idea but you know, this place does have most of my old favorite posters so here I am. <3

Y'know, given your choice of words, they did decide to ban cub but it was for the wrong reasons. I'd like to believe most of the staff breathed a collective sigh of relief being rid of the shit for the right reasons.

I wonder how many of those same people at one time or another told someone else freedom of speech doesn't exist on a privately owned site as a convenient way to dismiss someone else's grievances when any of their shit is censored. Never mind how much of the site's funding is through donations.

| Since you guys are dying to know about FAF, I'm actually more comfortable with it now than I was before but there's occasional instances that piss me off.
Also, a certain member I won't mention by name said something about furfaggotry being contagious without a hint of irony or sarcasm. Shit was funny as all hell.
Oh, and FA is inferior to Inkbunny anyway. It's got more functionality and you don't need to be discouraged by the "sick" stuff because you can block certain keywords.

Only problem I have with Inkbunny is the fact that its overabundant with cub porn. When FA dropped the "no cub porn" bomb on the site, every cub artist ran to Inkbunny. I understand you can just block the cub keyword, but doing that basically makes it FA with less artists, which is like "why bother?" imo.

not like I'm into that, but why?... I think it had something to do with Sonic's age. I think its permitted but only if Sonic is portrayed as an older being. I know they banned Spike porn recently too because its classified under cub since hes a baby dragon. At least FA is trying to get rid of a few unlikable things

There are no listed ages for the ponies and no ones entirely sure on them because while they sound like they might be young, they work, buy things, own their own houses, do shit on their own...pretty much like adults

I understand you can just block the cub keyword, but doing that basically makes it FA with less artists, which is like "why bother?" imo. The site isn't nearly as broken and the design isn't bland and depressing. And from what you guys are telling me about the various bans, it seems like I was right all along when I tried telling people that the cub ban would lead to a whole bunch of clusterfucks. One instance was on FAF where things got really weird because OP complained about a picture of a character from Homestuck and how he was a child and the staff said he was aged up but the OP said something about horns and it just became incredibly confusing. Too bad FA can't do anything about it because their funding was at stake.

| To put it bluntly, just being able to block cub doesn't change the fact you're associating yourself with what's essentially become a cub site. It's hard for strangers (read: the government, law enforcement, employers) to distinguish between someone who implicitly supports something and someone who is into the shit themselves. Yeah, it's not that hard to use an alias, separate email and the like, but when someone really has it in for you, they'll hire hackers and the whole nine. It's better just to no associate with their kind at all, as much as one can manage. | |
