| Just like old times.
Why do all professors schedule tests at the exact same time? It's like they all get together in the league of evil teachers and decide the bast ways to ruin our lives. I spent two weeks with hardly anything to do, and now I'm buried... |

I've always chalked it up to western culture's twisted ideals of "meritocracy" because only the best of the best deserve a good job/life and only the best of the best can juggle studying for that many tests possibly while holding down one or more jobs and a family it's just common sense, right? |

| I've realized the more I talk to people, the less they talk to me.
all my friendships start out strong, and then by the end of the year, I'm lucky if I can get them to say hi to me.
the longer I talk to people, the closer I feel to them, while at the same time, they want less and less to do with me. lol not a good combination |

I feel the same way... It's hard to find somebody who reciprocates. Everybody pays attention to me when I'm indifferent towards them, but whenever I start to actively engage them, they hardly make eye contact... It's weird how most people are these days. |

fucking CHRIST I hate that about people. that's what I do. we start off decent friends. I start to show even the SLIGHTEST bit of closeness towards a person, and they back off, like I might as well not even exist anymore.
I try ignoring them (classic human psychology) but that doesn't do shit. I think that only works with chicks. |

| It's like you guys are in my head D: I have no idea how to make a friendship last more than a year And I don't know how to keep in touch with people, and what do you even say after it's been so long? |

You lesbians put way too much thought into the ice breaking process. You say hi, ask what's up, maybe a few other things that are simple and straightforward. Even if the conversation doesn't last long, it's enough to soften the barrier and make future conversation more simple. It's a process that has to start out slow and simple. |
