Sometimes its temperature dependent; your HD will click more when the computer is hot.

HOLY SHIT inglip
http://www.tomshardware.com/news/MSI-GTX-660-670-overvolting-PowerEdition,18013.html

"Our colleagues over at Tom’s Hardware Germany seem to have caught MSI red handed, overvolting the GPUs on the GTX 660 Ti and GTX 670 Ti Power Edition boards (Google Translate) to achieve a higher and longer lasting GPU boost state by basically circumventing the PWM controller. In other words, MSI was cheating. Perhaps no one would ever have known if it hadn’t been for one side effect. The increased voltage can cause the system to refuse to POST."

I was literally about to buy that card tomorrow. pokerface

Oh hey, computers thread. Yeah, built my first one this past year, now I know better to check the power requirements of all my components ><. I was surprised that 830W didn't do the trick. Now I have a monstrous 1200W power supply, which at least can be used for later builds. Really quiet at least.

What kind of beast of a system is this? inglip 3 way SLI? Usually 750W is more than enough for anything. I'm only getting a 620W one lol.

It's why I'm so surprised, I don't have a beast of a system. As soon as I changed it though, everything was working perfectly. Who knows, maybe the original was a bad power supply, but at least I fixed the problem either way, and I have a power supply that can be used for a beast system.

I'm totally getting the urge to buy a new flash drive megusta
Even though the one I have still works fine... it's just slow as shit

This is the one I want
100MB/s read and 50MB/s write... holy shit
Even running at USB 2.0 speeds (capped at 30MB/s read, 15MB/s write) it will read ~2 times as fast as my current drive and write ~5 times faster. I don't need 32 GB but this is only $7 more than the 16GB one lol. And I remember when 2GB drives were like $40 Not a single fuck wa

(yeah I totally haven't used more than 1GB of my 8GB drive but stfu)

So I got an error message that Windows wasn't responding and I had the choice of ending process or canceling. I went to the task manager and restarted instead. When the computer restarted it had to verify the C: and all the files. And so I let complete the whole process and restart itself again. It's working fine now, but I have no idea what happened.

My mac just had a kernel panic again, while I was trying to transfer 8 gigs of files pokerface
This is like the second or third time this has happened, I should pretty much be backing up every day at this point...

You aren't supposed to put your dick in there, Greg. That's what the firewire port is for.

Have you tried repairing with Disk Utility?
