Canadians do that kind of stuff all the time. Living near the border you can often find them everywhere when I go into the Niagara Falls area. They put a lot of effort into avoiding the tax they have to pay to bring newly bought american goods back into Canada. It's not too unusual for them to wear old clothes down here, buy new ones and put them on in a parking lot and leave the old ones behind.

Nope trash bags of clothes in the parking lot. Canadian shoppers leave behind a massive amount of trash an pull stunts like switching their shoes in stores and walking out with them.

NEW SHIT FROM APPLE, PREPARE FOR INTERNET ARGUMENTS inglip

My thoughts:

iPad Mini is epic fail, not even 1080p, seriously? Not a single fuck wa

You could decapitate someone on the iMac, holy shit inglip Pretty soon OLED panels will come out and you literally could, but I think this is as thin as a screen can be now.

Apple needs to learn that people expect 7200RPM hard drives now Seriously? Well you get it on the 27 inch model, or flash storage. Graphics cards are decent, but only 256MB of vram is sad for 2012. on the 27 inch they let you have a 675MX with 1GB or a 680MX with 2GB. Holy shit okay now we're talking Mother Of God! I have to admit, the $2000 model actually looks pretty awesome, and it better be for that much.

New 13 inch MacBook Pro with 2560x1600 IPS panel, very awesome. Except you can only get dedicated graphics on the 15" version, so kind of fail there. I guess they're probably going to get rid of the Macbook Air sometime in the future. Macbook finally has HDMI, lol.

tl;dr: Well played Apple, well played. Could be better, but I don't expect much from you these days Not a single fuck wa

Mac Pros are terrible, I don't see why anyone would buy them
Like even though Apple products are highly priced, for most of them you can make the argument that they're worth it for at least the entry level model, for the form factor and the quality of the display, build quality, that kind of stuff. But the Mac pro is just a workstation tower, the price they put it at is beyond bullshit. Seriously?

Yeah I understand, Xeon processors, workstation boards, that shit all costs a lot. But everything else they put in them is garbage, I mean the graphics cards they put in are all budget cards from several years ago, you'd expect goddamn Quadros for the price they are but no, they put in a 5770 pokerface

You can build a hackintosh workstation and get way, WAY more power and save like $1,000, $2,000, hell, $4,000 off a Mac Pro with similar specs. You can't do that with the rest of Apple's product line but it's just a stupid fucking tower so why the hell not? Anyone who buys these, I just... asdflajsd;lgkahsd

Your wish has been granted fuck yeah

Now this makes sense, but not the Mac Pro.

If you built a hackintosh with truly the same specs as a Pro, you'd come out about the same. The board, the processor, the server-grade memory... and I'm betting the Pro would last quite a bit longer. My Pro is a 1,1 from 2006 and still doing everything I need it to... yes, replacing the video card comes with an AppleTax, but there's ways around that. I've gotten far more life out of this beast than I ever did out of any other desktop I've ever purchased or built.

And it's just so sexy... oooh, baby, let me caress your aluminum case... uhh... *splurt*

um. Sorry about that. Fantasizing about black turtlenecks again. Carry on, carry on...

It's true. I actually tried doing it once. Depending on the power supply, the generic parts put you between $100 less and $300 more, on a machine that costs well over 2-grand.

What most people don't realize is that, regardless of the specs you buy, you're paying for a motherboard that can seat two 8-core westmeres and 64GB RAM, and which has all the circuitry to support that.

Bootcamp is so stupid, I really like this mouse I started using but since it's a really low dpi I had to turn the sensitivity way up and now my trackpad is really sensitive too.

Yeah, they really don't let me control that separately... Seriously?

That's not bootcamp, that's windows. Not a single fuck wa

Although I never run Windows on my Mac, I can recommend this driver;

My computer crashed because it ran out of memory AGAIN, this time from WATCHING THE DAILY SHOW
You would think 4 gigs would be enough to do absolutely nothing besides streaming video, but I guess not. My RAM is probably defective or something, this happens all the time now.

I'm pretty sure my computer's gonna just fucking explode one of these days, I should sell it for a few hundred to some sucker and wash my hands of it Not a single fuck wa

Spoken by a true spaz, the models being referred to were never equipped with multitouch trackpads to begin with.

Quote :
"Looks like this replaced my Boot Camp drivers, so now the function keys don't work (volume up/down, keyboard brightness, screen brightness, etc.)"

Again, a spaz who doesn't know how to computer. It explicitly states on the website that "Trackpad++ does not interfere with any of the Boot Camp drivers installed."

Quote :
"No momentum-based scrolling"

... I'm not sure what to think about that. It's supposed to have that, and it does. I'm guessing it's another/the same spaz.

My Macbook Pro is pre-unibody, and it has a multitouch track pad, and the download page says mine isn't supported Seriously?

Or is "multitouch" marketing for the trackpad without the separate button? I'm pretty sure the one with the button was also referred to as a "multitouch trackpad"

While it technically meets the basic definition for multitouch, two-finger-scrolling is does not constitute 'multitouch' according to Apple's marketing team.

For example, on this support page;

Quote :
...different options for customizing two finger trackpad scrolling. For instance, Mac notebooks without Multi-Touch trackpads have the option to disable horizontal scrolling...

There might be a distinction between 'multitouch' and 'Multi-Touch,' but I'm not sure.
