The Last of Us

this is the only video that they've released. this, and a 9 second video of an ant on a leaf...



but it's supposedly going to be this huge game that's being REALLY hyped up. they haven't even shown the game yet.

another video is supposed to be released sometime today. all I know is, I'm curious as HELL as to what this game is.

just today, only two game screenshots were shown. they're also saying these aren't actual photo's, but CGI (which is obvious in the second picture, but the first one looks pretty realistic)



they hid this second picture from the main site, until you had to tweak the url to show this picture.

edit: apparently they also secretly added an additional 20 seconds to the previous video of the ant... which scared the shit out of me :U

This reminds me of the hype the american version of Godzila had with all the ads and shit. I hope this game is better than that movie, though.

if anything, the plot seems rather intelligent opposed to most other zombie games (or at least, we're all ASSUMING it's a zombie game)

I'm "ASSUMING" nothing. This seems to want to go beyond survival horror. Nobody fucking surviving even as zombies is a step or two beyond that.

I remember playing this game on the ps2 where you play as some dude in an already evacuated city which is being destroyed by a really big earthquake and i think the goal was to escape while finding survivors and shit. Maybe it's gonna be something like that? trying to survive by yourself in a city with little to no living people?

I personally hate third person for everything but racing games but eh
All games you should be able to switch between the two, like in Skyrim or Minecraft

I actually tend to play in 3rd person mode a lot because I like being able to have a better peripheral vision, and it's even more useful in New Vegas for combat since the reticule is actually accurate in that game.

I think it's only really useful in stealth games like Manhunt. In games like Fallout, i'd say it's not really nesesary but it was a nice little touch.

I tried it once... camera might as well have been facing backwards, given the effectiveness of the reticle.
