some of these artists... I really wish I could see something else from them, cause some of these artists look like they can draw some awesome shit. or maybe if I knew the artists, and they drew stuff other than MLP... I'd definitely watch them

They've just never shown a stallion from 3/4 view before. I mean, look at this gallery of big mac;

Every single image (except for two of him as a colt), he's either looking straight at the camera, or he's in profile. Sometimes they move his nostril, to give him a "7/8" appearance, but you never, ever, see both his eyes unless he's looking right at you.

It's partly to blame for why there are so few stallions on screen at once, since they can only put them in profile, or looking straight at you, so the scenes would be kind of boring with too many stallions.

But I guess some artist worked it out, and they're going to start slipping these in to gradually introduce the new face.

But HOW is it that hard though, they're obviously just lazy and don't care about male characters

I mean if they can do THIS, they can draw a 3/4 head which any high school art student can draw!

Well, the significance is that there was no canon 3/4 stallion head, and now there is.
