| Captain America 10/10 I love the fact they used the old wünderwaffen designs for Schmidts plane, which was based of the Ho-229, and all the other neat technology. Too bad people wouldn't shit the hell up during the movie so I missed most of it. | |

| I recently watched 'You Again' and 'Despicable Me' because Shaw has a limited selection of On Demand movies for free, and those were two of them and I hadn't seen them before. They were both good. | |

| Finally got around to watching Even Horizon last night. It was hardly a bad movie but not really that great. Probably would've been a lot better if they'd tried it nowadays since it was a very visually intense, effects driven movie. The inclusion of a comic relief character kinda ruined the suspense. | |

| Puss in Boots.
Not quite as clever as the first two Shreks, but thrice as good as the third and fourth. Zach Galifianakis and Antonio Banderas made a good duo.
As a spin-of, Dreamworks actually did a pretty good job. The 82% across both the user and critic boards of Rottentomatoes reflect it quite accurately.

The only thing I gotta admit is that part of me wishes I'd just tried to find a translation of the original text instead of watching a movie that seems to be trying very hard to do right by the original, but at the same time feels so much like a "movie by committee" as they all are in recent years, going so far as to retcon I'm not sure if it's just the story itself or actual history to fit whatever message they're trying to hamfistedly deliver. The part that's infuriating is I'm not even sure quite what that message is supposed to be? Are they lamenting the fact that "The Roman Christ God" as "ended the age of heroes" or are they lamenting ever having been part of that age in the first place or are they just engaging in the kind of forced melancholy the entire fucking genre seems to exist to serve Maybe I need to watch it a second time but not text my girlfriend while I'm doing it? The thing is, a few of those times was an excuse to avert my gaze from CG Angelina not because I felt guilty looking at that while I'm mated, but because she looked just wrongI mean more so than Grendel.

THIS MOVIE <33333 lol. I'd give that movie... maybe a 7/10 it was good, and Jesse Eisenberg has the worlds most adorable voice, but eh. anyway, There Will Be Blood: 8.5/10 great story telling. it felt very true to the dangers of that era. very accurate. but the ending made me think... what. the fuck... why did he... I mean what was the point of him doing this...
