Actually, Praying Mantises are badasses. They are considered especially tough by Eastern cultures.

Here's a Praying Mantis that kicked a snake's ass... and proceeded to eat it:



And here's one holding its own against a house cat. It doesn't get many good hits in, but it can sure as hell take a punch, and the cat is rather cautious about approaching it by the end;



And they're well known for catching and eating hummingbirds.

Good at killing things made of soft, easily puncturable membranes.

Not quite so great at taking on fully armored bio-tanks.

I mean that scorpion didn't even have to try.

I think the poison gives the scorpion a huge advantage.

Other than that, the only benefit it has over the mantis is its willingness to do dicky things like pinch a guy's eyeball. Just a total dick move. Almost as bad as kicking somebody in his sperm-transfering mandible.

the show is nothing like in that video heh. but I do love the show. there was one particular scene in the last episode I loved, where the camera split to two different views to display two different characters at the same time. I just really loved that.
