So I learned today that my doctor told my mom that if I didn't respond to the steroid treatment they were giving me for pneumonia, I probably would have died.

I have just found a Gradius slot machine......IS THIS WHAT MY GAME HAS BEEN REDUCED TO!?!!?

A fucking gambler's quick fix? And what the fuck is this random 'LOOKIT ME" shower scene bullshit in here? Fucking Konami sellouts. Making 2 weak spinoffs back to back with a bunch of weeaboo, freak otaku, japanophile nonsense, the second one being piss easy. Now this? They cancel Gradius 6 and Contra 3DS to make a bunch of fucking ports and useless collections along with a slot machine that could have been a stand alone game? There's a legit anime movie in a fucking slot machine!!! You put all that money to make something barely interactive in select CASINOS when it could have just been a fleshed out downloadable handheld title!? I'd happily settle for that! I'd love another original handheld Gradius! That'd be a treat!

Yikes, glad to know that there wasn't too much damage.
Of course, being in the middle of the country, we don't deal with hurricanes. Though there was a windstorm maybe a few months ago (before I went off to college) that nearly uprooted a tree, and it was a pretty large one. You could see the tree angled, with the dirt from below the tree sticking out a good two or three feet. I was pretty shocked to say the least.

Our tree probably looks pretty similar. But considering the damage in other places, it's not really much of a surprise. We were very lucky.

We don't deal with hurricanes either-- this thing broke all sorts of records. I've always considered my area to be one of the safest in terms of natural disasters, but recently... I don't know! I'm blaming it on global warming.

I've been working since 830 this morning non stop, its now 2230 and were not even close to done. I've been outside most of today moving most of a house on my own, and big things too like washers, ovens, chest of drawers where the idea of packing was to leave it in there to have me deal with. On top of all that its been sleeting and around 30oF all day. Im so tired, I just need to go for a drive right now and wind down.
