I live in a pretty rural town outside Buffalo, Milo. However I still have a Tim Hortons, a Walmart and a 7/11 within walking distance of my house. In the opposite direction there's farmland.

It's decently populated, but you'd probably be surprised how much farmland and wilderness there is in NY. Most people are.

actually I... used to spend a lot of time on google earth, so I know a lot about the NY layout. I probably know the layout better than half the people that live there

I used to street view a lot, and imagine I was actually there

My best advice for anyone coming to the state though is to avoid Niagara Falls unless you're going all the way to Canada. Don't even bother coming this way otherwise.

It was sad when I asked the cab driver for directions and he said he only knew just a small section of the city. I've only been to New York City once.
