I only really know about Reggae but I'll cover that very briefly
Reggae music, a style of Jamaican music with easily recognizable accents known as off-beat or skank rhythms, originated in the late 1960s. Pioneered by artists such as Jackie Mittoo and Winston Wright, Reggae developed as a solid musical genre thanks to Bob Marley & The Wailers bringing Jamaican music to international attention. Reggae lyrics may contain themes of anti-capitalism, spirituality and other social criticism.
