They've really started to piss me off lately. I'm so sick and tired of hearing "ne" and "chan" and shit every fucking where I go. Especially the mall. Dear jesus, protector of all that is good and holy, deliver me from these walking onigiri rolls.
It's cool and all if you like the culture, but seriously, using phrases and words in random conversations is getting a little old. I actually stole blackfuredfox's idea and brought up the topic of Unit 731 in one such conversation (about yaoi--guy on guy action--specifically), and watched all hell break loose.

The culture itself is starting to scare me, especially the kinks and fetishes and stuff. That shit's fucking gross and creepy. And everything's too "cute" over there. Cute repulses me. I am deeply saddened by all of this. And the worst part? I used to be one of them. I am so deeply ashamed of myself.

Ive had the honor of only knowing maybe 1-2 people tops who ever ever like that

I just find it amazing(ly wrong and stupid) how there's such a greater acceptance of that than, say, white kids who embrace hip hop culture, Native American culture, basically any culture that isn't - hell, even expressions of older European culture (paganism and the like). It's pretty fucking racist in its own right, fetishizing an entire nation like that, which it often is, and which the other examples just as often aren't.

True, I did make a generalization.

However what makes you think unique is the best of the best anyways, unique is just different, and when I see groups of Asians in town they're all wearing the same clothes, have the same hairdo, and typically if you can't speak their language you're out of the conversation anyways.
