I've worked in construction since I was 13 and I was considered too much of a faggot to work in a warehouse, Foxy Boy. I'd see them hiring you on probation, sure. I'd also see them 1) firing you within the first week and 2) dragging you out back and beating the shit out of you.

Your supervisors are most likely attracted to you, and probably don't even realize it. I know that nowhere else in the entire fucking world did I ever expect to meet a Caribbean man and strong Rastafari sympathizer with a diametrically opposing sexual bent (if you know anything about Caribbean/Rasta culture). I knew they had to exist, but I find it telling that the only place I ever met one even slightly open about it was in a warehouse (in Alberta of all places, but that's another can of worms). But that's hardly the only experience I've ever had (work or otherwise) where I found myself less uncomfortable with latent faggotry than the awkward hypocrisy of simultaneously rationalizing and denying it. Basically, you're not going to get any argument from me that no amount of physical strength would make me a good fit for that line of work, largely for the same reasons I wouldn't join the military. But that doesn't make me a wimp. I've survived with or without those jobs. Most of the other people working them couldn't, and they know it, and they can tell I could, and it infuriates them.

The only place around here that's easy to get a job is at the UPS plant, sorting packages.
But apparently it's because it's so fucking intense that no one lasts more than a month and a lot of people just ragequit the first day. I've browsed bodybuilding forums where they said it was absolute hell. And I'm a little stick

I better get really really good with computers or otherwise I'll just have to take steroids so I can do one of these menial manual labor jobs and get arthritis by the time I'm 30

But damn, in my construction class we watched all these videos from the 70's and 80's. And the workers were wearing nothing but work boots and the shortest shorts you could imagine, and dripping with sweat. It literally looked like a porno.

Oh it's not being me I have being a problem with, I love me!

But waking up the next day and realizing you were a total obnoxious ass the night before can be hard to handle.

I know I said I'd start working on getting back into a healthy lifestyle after I got up, but I decided to do it right now instead, for insurance :V

So I went out and aimlessly wandered around from 3AM til 5AM. I got nice and lost, I think that's why I enjoyed it so much. I really didn't know where I was or where I was going for most of the walk.

I guess I don't need to be drunk or on drugs to enjoy myself after all, I'll just have to be sure to wander around aimlessly often, walking isn't as fun when you have a destination I find.
