Yes, there are some rap lyrics that are meaningful. But most of what we hear people listen to are seemingly just words that happen to rhyme.

That'll be the mainstream stuff. The underground material is about one-thousand times better than the popular stuff in my opinion, because most (if not all) underground artists (of any genre) aren't catering to a massive audience consisting of tweens, wannabe thugs and a bunch of other types of asshats.
