Well, I'm excited.

To me, the Pokemon games have just gotten better and better. Yeah, there are some stupid-ass Pokemon that exist, like a retarded snow-cone, but Pokemon has always had the ability to grab my heart.

I couldn't agree more. This thing is going the way of Star wars prequels...

5th gen was god awful in terms of pokemon designs.

I rather enjoyed some of Gen 5...

I think Pokemon designs have been slipping since Silver and Gold. Still they were always ok until gen 5.

Every generation has at least had a few Pokemon I did like.

There hasn't been a generation yet where I downright hated everything from it.

Sigilyph, Chandlelure, Cofagurious, the threeheaded dragon (who's name I never remember), Scrafty, Darmanitan.

Those have style, those have soul and heart to them. The others...eh...

I just don't know why they made them. Too simple, too many remakes of other pokemon (drowzee and machop esp) and just lazy looking.

I believe its been said the creators wanted to stop the franchise at the original Gold and Silver but of course the company wanted to ride the cash cow all the way home.

This is really its destiny I suppose.

each pokemon game has proven to be good... hell even the show is pretty good. the only concept of pokemon that sucks is that for SOME reason, they need to make new pokemon after every game.

saying pokemon sucks now is like comparing it to spongebob. the old episodes were good. the new episodes are beyond terrible, and downright painfully unfunny. pokemon however, is still enjoyable for me. they have yet to break my heart in the way spongebob has

I must agree on the having to make new pokes every game...that sucks. But they gotta sell em all I suppose.

The show...its too focused on the pokemon now. Ash used to have adventures that didn't directly involve them. The pokemon were a bonus. Also, the cgi is so distracting and the animation is drab.

My favorite Pokemon will forever be Jynx for sentimental purposes though.

My favorite was always Dragonite, followed by Snorlax and Ursaring.
