oh of course. at least I'm sure. but pessimistic people like me tend to only remember the bad things. 

shit, all I can remember is being scared all the time. although I do remember one good memory. I spent the majority of my childhood going from apartment to apartment. if we couldn't afford it anymore, we'd just go to a cheaper place. we rented in one that was like a maze. I got lost in the maze, and some mailmen found me, and took me back home. there were police and stuff on the front door of the apartment complex.

I think it's a good memory because I found it funny...? I laugh every time I think about it, lol

Well, I'm not sure if you were enjoying it at the time lol, but it's good to be able to look back and laugh at yourself. That's a quality many people seem to lack. I did plenty of dumb things for example, a lot were so bad I hesitate to even talk about them, but that was me in the past. Likewise, I'm sure you'll look back at this time in your life, years from now, and not only be proud of the tough times and challenges you overcame, but also appreciate what you have that much more.

if there's one thing I know, it's that I'm glad I'm not the same person I was when I was a kid. it's not that I've done fucked up things. just the type of person I was. I'm sure there are plenty of people here who think there's plenty wrong with me now, but I was a lot more severe back then. I'm more passive about my negativity than I used to be... I expressed my negativity in a more... hateful and angry way when I was a kid. if I didn't become a pacifist when I did, I can honestly say I might have turned into what people back then used to tell me I came across as. "the quiet kid who sits in the back, until he one day brings a gun to school and shoots the place up"

The only really bad part of my childhood was when my mom died. As far as me and my step dad go, we get along great! We used to go hunting and fishing all the time. When I turned sixteen and 'rebellious' my dad bought two pairs of 16 ounce boxing gloves. The deal was that if we ever had a disagreement that could turn to blows, we went out to the back yard, put on the gloves, and go at each other for 3 minutes. After that, we took the gloves off, shook hands, and it was done.

So today was the Pride parade and festival in my city.  Fun times, I suited and things were great.  Two of the three rainbow ribbons holding my tail together fell off, though.

Oh and I almost forgot.  I saw my ex there.  I was stupefied that we had a civil conversation.  She said hey as she passed with a group of my other friends, and I guess she overheard me bitching about how I dropped my cigarettes in the parade, because she offered me one of her Black and Milds.  I know they're shitty, but I had nothing and beggars can't be choosers.  So I took it.  Kept trying to offer me a light too, but I have enough bad luck already and it was a white lighter, which I hate using.  

I've been thinking about it all night and I can't make myself stop.

Every time someone bitches about white lighters I want to put my fist through their face.

It's the stupidest superstition I've come across since the belief in Jesus. :U
