The starting location for this is the general New Vegas area, not saying that it is bound to the Mojave, its just the starting area. You can expand beyond the borders obviously into DLC land, mentioned places, or places you make up. Let's get this set up, lol.

In 2281, the Bull and bear clashed over a wall of stone and steel spanning the Colorado. The fighting was more intense than the first battle but through the sheer drive of one Courier, and the dream of an independent people tyranny was pushed back. The Legion, in an eerie repeat of the First Battle of Hoover Dam pushed the NCR from the Dam, but through will, force, and the desperation of many, they pushed back with the help of Mojave tribes, former foes, and one person. Ceaser saw his defeat looming and fell back to the saftey of his Empire leaving behind many dead Legionarrie and yet another Legate, surrounded by NCR Rangers, Troopers, and with the old boot with treads of Mojave sand in it atop his chest and on the foot of a Courier. The celebrations for the NCR were large through out not only the homeland, but in the Mojave. Eventually though the NCR returned to its expansionist nature and pushed across the desert seeking full annexation, even if the people didn't want it. Mr. House saw this as he saw everything, as an oppurtunity. The bottom of the Lucky 38 became a power house of weapons production of everything from cheap rifles and pistols, to high tech laser weapons and high end firearms with his own private Securitron Army. Seeing Freeside as an asset, the Kings were contacted by Mr. House and given weapons, caps, and full entry to the Strip all for the King to allign with him and the families. Westside, seeking to remain independent began to open up to the strip seeing it as a nessecity, their Milita, becoming a light Army, but well equipped to the point of driving the fiends south into NCR territory, and into obliteration. The Great Khans seeing many towns too far for Mr. House to properly defend, started to protect towns in the southern region extending their reach to the former NCRCF. Hoover Dam finally fell under the NCR flag as HELIOS One once again, along with Black Mountain, fell under the power armored grip of the Brotherhood of Steel. Soon the lines were drawn across the barren land, McCarran was evacuated to Camp Golf, Hoover Dam, and the former Legion outpost at Fortification Hill. the hot southern sun beats down upon the scorched sands again, just has it always has, only this time, different blood stains the ground, the only question that remains is this, will yours?

Pip-boy: N

Background:

As with virtually all Brotherhood of Steel members, Annie was born and raised as a member of the faction. Devotion, duty, courage, and camaraderie were all instilled on a daily basis through training, education, and daily life. Despite growing up largely sheltered in the Hidden Valley Bunker, Annie absorbed much about the significant events which preceded and surrounded the Courier, including those related to the infamous Father Elijah, whom she trained under directly as a scribe. A defining aspect of Annie's life concerned Elijah's neglect and contempt of her in favor of Veronica, who he adopted as his most prized pupil. In a moment of pure malice, fueled as much by other personal factors as her rejection, she outed Veronica and Christine to Father Elijah. The rest, as it's said, is history.

While she ultimately ended up feeling regret for what happened to Christine, she never buried the axe with Veronica, and was one of the principle members responsible for ostracizing her upon her return to the Hidden Valley Bunker after her travels with the Courier. She still holds the belief that homosexual practices are subversive behavior, to the extent they fail to strengthen the BoS through procreation... although this causes a great deal of internal conflict for her. Suffering from an inferiority complex, Annie seeks to follow in the footsteps of Father Elijah in order to prove herself. The neurotic nature of her psychology makes her difficult to predict; she is stoic in regards to things many would be gravely offended by, but conversely is often found to overreact to things which are utterly trivial by the standards of others, such as perceived insults to her intelligence.

The morning air was cool and crisp in the early hours of the day, it is the time I love. All the nocturnal creatures were going to sleep and none of the day creatures had awakened yet. I could see the glow of the distant sun on the Eastern horizon faintly as my small camp fire burned. My canteen cup sat on a cinder block next to the crackling warmth as I moved my bare paws closer with my jump boots nearby. I sipped at the coffee id made using some tobbacco leaves and cocoa beans id found while I poked at the fire with my bayonet hoping to release some heat to warm up the Big Horner steak I was cooking quicker. The coffee was bitter and tasted like id thrown dirt in it, but it woke me up and even though it made me want to scrape my tounge with my bowie knife, it warmed my insides up. The aroma of the cooking meat filled the air around me. I cut down the middle of the steak, red showed and I knew it was good enough for me with that red in the center. I stabbed it through and moved it to an old tin plate id found and placed the plate by my canteen cup. I picked up my cup and threw its contents out onto the ground placing the cup back atop my canteen as I pulled a bottle from my bread bag. Sunset Sarsparilla the aged label showed. I used my bayonet to lift the cap off and took a sip from the bottle. I cut a piece of the steak off and ate it, and smiled both at the taste and a thought. The only thing superior to my extreme range marksmanship, in my opinion, was my optimism.
"Its gonna be a good day," I said as the glow on the horizon brightened.

He doesn't like weapons, not like he ever has ammo to spare, so he uses his own hands if not unarmed weapons like power fists or his deathclaw gauntlet. He prefers not to make allies since he always ends up using them. That was until he found a place called Jacobstown, where he was welcome. He slowly learned to trust other people, not just mutants. Eventually he decided to settle in this town, protecting it's population against outside threats like mercenaries and raiders.

I stood up and walked to the observation look out. I picked up my rifle and peered through the scope down range parallel to Lake Mead to Camp Golf. I couldn't see much besides some fires and people poking around. I changed my view to Fortification Hill. The radio tower was the only real thing I could see over the walls, which had a NCR flag atop it. I began to inch my rifle down the hill towards the lake until I saw the scorched earth and a crater. It was Millie and I,s final firing position during the battle. 10 years prior wed have been opposite of that crater hidden in the hills around Lake Mead on the west. But in 2281, we had a .50 BMG and a. 44 Trail Carbine with a scope, gifts Ceaser had given us through his subordinate, Vulpes Inculta. I put my rifle down and turned walking back to my camp. I set my rifle against the trailer Millie and I hoisted up using an old motorbike to winch it up. I picked up my left boot and shook it, the put it on, then shook my right boot upside down too. A small scorpion fell from it and scurried off. I looked east to the rising sun, then west, then south to a flag pole which had the Texas flag hoisted up. I walked back and stomped out the fire, then looked around again.
"I wonder why the hell the NCR sealed the cave there?"

"Do you really think that's going to solve the Deathclaw problem?", asked Chief McCredie. I rolled my eyes beneath my suit of power armor. Our professional relationship, necessitated by the truce between our factions, had always been exacerbating, filled with needless questions and opinions. It was enough to make me wonder why we bothered to maintain it. With Helios One reclaimed, there was really no reason left at all to continue our cooperation with these useless Luddites. "There were no other exits, and Deathclaws have to eat or die just like anything else. There's literally no reason to think this isn't a solution". McCredie frowned. If pressed too hard, he would assert his authority, but he had the uncertain air of a man who had been promoted due to necessity rather than merit. Quite fitting, given that his new position was little more than part of the fallout of the Hanlon scandal. "I'm going to post guards just in case. If we have any trouble, we'll send a scout to your eastern safehouse. You'll still have people posted there, right?" What a boring little man. "We always have people posted there, because leaving our munitions unattended would be stupid. My apologies chief, but you requested the use of our explosives. Then, when you proved incapable of using them, of our expertise as well. Both were provided, the issue is resolved, and the Brotherhood has its own business to attend to. I do understand that the NCR is technologically deficient, but I would suggest you invest your own time in providing basic training for your forces in the future, instead of electing to constantly waste ours. Good day." With that, I turned and left a flustered Chief McCredie as my Paladin escorts filed in around me. It was a nice enough day, except for the wind. I've always hated the wind. It is especially obnoxious to deal with in a suit of T51-b power armor, as it creates an obnoxious whistling noise when it blows at any reasonable speed. Wind always contributes to a bad mood for me. Impositions from lesser people are probably the only thing more annoying. A much more interesting item had come into the agenda of the BoS, and this had been a distraction from it. A more technologically advanced faction known as the Boomers had recently made... contact, with a few of our less fortunate Paladins. While this in itself would generally be enough of an excuse to annihilate them, and Helios One would make such an action trivial, our Elder had ordered us to pursue more diplomatic means of communication. A technologically advanced faction is an interesting enough discovery in its own right. Perhaps with time, the Boomers could become useful allies, and then we'd have no need for our shameful truce with the pitiful NCR, and they could be properly expunged from the wasteland. Even if we do end up just annihilating the Boomers, it still makes more sense to extract what we can of value from them rather than to just raze them to the ground. The Mohave BoS has admittedly been weakened quite a bit in recent times, as much as I hate to admit it. Whatever we can do to rebuild the strength of our faction is a good and noble goal, and should take first priority.

I checked my bread bag, making sure it was full before I looped my pistol belt through it. I did one last check of all by gear and put my helmet on. I slung my rifle around my body and on my back. I laid down and started crawling back over the edge of the cliff by the destroyed bridge. I kicked my feet into the wall where I usually climbed down. I never liked climbing down, or up but at least going up wasn't as scary as not seeing where I was going. I eventually made it down to the ground and hopped down. I started moving south towards the shores of Lake Mead, then west. It was early still but the temperature was already on the rise. By 0800 I was beyond the lake heading east by northeast toward McCarran. I reached a ridge when I saw a group of BoS troopers. I laid down before anything else and wedged my rifle in between two rocks. I sighted in on them, but even with AP rounds which I didn't have, I would be slaughtered before I got to the second. So there I laid with the dazzle helmet on my head and rifle in my hands, watching these knights walk.
"Where are you going?"

A frontal approach to the Boomer compound had proven untenable, time and time again, in a way which so thoroughly established the point as to make any reports to the contrary come across as mythical anecdotes thrown miserably at the towering perfection of science. The courier had allegedly accomplished the feat, but then this was the courier; a near mythical figure in and of herself. Whether in fact or fiction, she had transcended the limitations which defined the lives of others, and either way there was no use in aspiring to mimic her. This had left few options which didn't rely on force. The Gun Runners functioned as an intermediary between the Boomers and those who wished to make contact with them, but for obvious reasons, relations between the Gun Runners and the Brotherhood had been less than completely amiable. An unfortunate matter in its own right. The Brotherhood occasionally conducted transactions with them, but the core relationship was competitive; not so much for market, but for power, through the respective yet distinct avenues pursued by either group. So, that was out. There were rumors of old world places lost to time, which had become shrines to higher tech. Rumors were often a waste of time though, and when not they were just as often dangerous. The provincial solution then was simply to secure enough Stealth Boys to sneak a squadron of Paladins up to the front gate.

On that basis, the Brotherhood had sent scouts to the REPCONN test site. Old records indicated that there had been a shipment of Stealth Boys delivered there. It had since been claimed by a faction of Ghouls, who ordinarily would have been eliminated with little thought, but they were intertwined heavily, both in economic and personal terms, with the nearby town of Novac, and hence fell under the protection of the NCR. The NCR/Brotherhood treaty had brought rather severe complications and limitations with it. It made me feel that the Brotherhood was being de-fanged. Our survivalist outlook and way of life slowly being drained, turning us into petty mercenaries with the NCR as our de-facto masters. At any rate, it had been discovered that the Stealth Boys were rerouted. The only other obvious option was to find a place where Nightkin were abundant, as Stealth Boys are always plentiful in their presence. Black Mountain had long since ceased to exist after the exploits of the Courier though, which left only the option of Jacobstown. Jabostown was still independent from NCR, which meant there would be little in the way of repercussion if force proved necessary. They had also allegedly discovered a cure for Nightkin madness, which by my estimate meant they no longer had any need of their Stealth Boys. So with that in mind, it shouldn't take very much persuasion to make them hand them over. And if not, well... the situation would be easy enough to resolve either way...

Wearing the helmet while trying to use a telescopic sight that is inbetween rocks proved to be a bit more, retarded that I thought. So I let go of my rifle and scooted back down the small ridge a bit and removed it. I tied it off on my hip and reached into a pocket on my flak jacket pulling out my beret. I put on the beige cover with the silver star badge on my head and scooted back up the ridge. It was far more comfortable now. I sighted back in on the BoS troop moving along the road. I reviewd my options silently. I could follow them from a distance and see where they're going. I could back off and circle around and lay traps. I could follow them until they get near the mountains, the climb up and pick them off from extreme range and move after each shot so they don't get a bead on me. Or I could...wait. I moved my scope up past the Paladins onto a NCR patrol. 3 soldiers and one Ranger. I did not trust NCR Rangers one bit, especially if they weren't former Desert Rangers. Only two differences between Ranger and Ranger Vets to me was Vets tend to miss on purpose against Disavowed Rangers, and we tended to miss against them. Patrols on the other hand. They were fair game, especially near the NCR border. I sighted in on the Ranger in the smokey bear cover.
"Wind, 5 miles south. Distance, 850 meters approximately. Two clicks left and three down. Ready to fire."
BAAAM
One shot rang out.
"Target down, adjusting fire."
I opened the bolt on my rifle slowly and took out the brass. I placed it on the ground and closed the bolt. The soldiers had already made a break for it into a nearby gulch. The sun beat right down on me, and even though that hit me, the fact it was hitting the Texas Ranger badge on my beret didn't when I peeked over the rocks.

.45 Pistol with the same paint an 17 etched into the grips.

Pip-boy Y/N
No

Background:
Born sometime in 2260 or 2261 in New Mexico to a peculiar tribe of star worshipers in a place called the Well of Rose. His life was quite unmentionable up to his assimilation into the Legion save for how his tribe taught him odd survival skills and to above all be a servant if chosen by "The Sky Spirits". Gradually he rose from recruit to veteran and to Decanus until being apointed a Centurion for his skill at night and almost supernatural ability to think like the Malpais Legate. After the first battle of Hoover Dam he approached Ceaser with a plan to conduct covert raids against NCR supply lines deep inside NCR territory through disguises and utilizing NCR terrorists. He was returning to Arizona for the Second Battle but before he could the battle both started and ended. The remaining men under his command either slit their throats there on that mountain or shed their armor and fled. Only he remained. Be it the shock of the loss or that he could have done more, something snapped. He walked for 2 days until reaching a secluded campground. There he meditated. Why should he give up? Ceaser still lives. Now more so than ever would be the time to begin to pave the way for the third battle. His armor though, became an issue. With the NCR moving in crimson was a hated color. So for one week he stalked NCR troops, Powder Gangers, and Mercenaries until his armor was nearly complete. It looked peculiar. Cargo pants with crimson stripes around the legs. Black shinned boots with the legs tucked in. A NCRCF flak vest with a gold bull on the back and red epaulets and odd camo of red and sand. He kept a T-45d pauldron on the left shoulder he took from the first BoS scout he killed. He wrapped a red silk cloth around his neck tucking it in the vest so he could pull it over his face in a sandstorm with his goggles. All he needed was a red hat. Like a beret. Soon his small sanctuary had red banners for doors and mesh to hide the entrances. Now he works in secret to pave the way for Ceaser with sympathizers and Legion scouts that dare cross the Colorado.

It is that bad, I have to go through 3-4 pages of links before I get to what I am looking for, and even then I have to continue searching.

I'll look at the perks later.
Because this shit is confusing.

Even if its hard to navigate at first, its a good trade off for the information you get.

It's not navigating I have problems with. It's the fact that there are too many links.
I want to learn about ghouls, and I have to Open an individual link for each one, why not just put all the ghoul info on one page. >:C
Gosh, then some of the links take me somewhere and then I get to a place I think I wanted to be and it is the same page as I went to before and I am like "Why?"

its because its got a lot to say about things. Look at all the information about each breed of ghoul not to mention the info on each firearm, melee weapons, energy arms, explosives, armor, clothes, and location. Its littered with pictures and so on.

Im just gonna go ahead and post to get this thread really started in earnest. Go ahead and post descriptions at anytime you wanna join or use the same character from before.

............................

I sat nervously tapping my heel up and down in the old and long abandoned house. It was dark and dry with a musty smell and torn wall paper with green carpeting. I sat across from 3 NCR troopers tied to their chairs and a dead one still tied up to his chair on the floor. One, a sergeant, was coming to. I sat across from him and pulled my pistol up and tapped him a couple times on the side of the face.
"Come on asshole. Wake up. Got some questions for you profligate."
"Whuh, where am I. Profligate? What are you a fucking legionai-"
I cracked him across the face with my pistol."
"Don't speak to me like that you profligate. You've got some information I want. And im not to prone to waiting."
"Go deepthroat that .45 you slaver piece of shit."
"Okay then *sigh* it'll be your way."
BAAAAAM. One shot through the trooper next to him. The shot was loud enough to scare him into falling over into a puddle of blood from the first dead trooper.
"Let's try this again," I approached him and stuck my .45 in his mouth. "Answer. My. Damn. Questions."
I didn't need to hear a reply to know he would comply.
"Question one, where are your patrol routes? Question two, how much firepower is there? And question three, how much do you value life?"
It took a few more beatings for him to properly remember. By the third tooth he spit out I was getting straight answers. The final question was a good one.
"H-how much do I value life?"
"Yes, would you sacrifice yourself? And be honest."
"...n-no...I wouldnt..."
"Okay then."
I took his combat knife and put it on the table across the room and raised my pistol. I squeezed the trigger and with one more booming shot I killed the other trooper the moment before he awoke. I stood up and walked to the door holstering my .45 and pulling my Service Rifle up as I stepped out into the scorching Mojave headed to the nearby road to lead me along up towards Westside. In the time since the battle a small boomtown had poped up by an old farm north of Vegas. It was anarchistic and had no qualms about serving the NCR or Legion openly, what ever profited them was what they helped. The info from that trooper would make traversing the wastes up to Independent territory that much easier.

Character Sheet
Name: Taz
Age/D.O.B.: Doesn't know, but is surely young

Background:
Taz as named by some of the Reavers in his past has grown up around technology. Most of the people of the Reavers creeped him out and a lot of the gods confused him. He never got into that side of the religion, but he does worship technology, but without the gods, so he refers to himself as a Neo-Reaver. He has no idea when he was born, or to who. He's usually uplifting with his personality and fidgety. He has never had a home and just sort of wanders around in the wastes picking up old glass bottles and filling them with anything flammable he can find. He's fairly lucky and usually makes it out of a fight unhurt, or animals are around and jump into fight with him. When he meets a guy he tries to flirt a lot of the time in attempts to have him let him come along for a while.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Walking with a young guy that probably thinks I am a girl and might get some at some point I've been getting bored, he doesn't talk to me, he doesn't play with me, he just sits there, or walks all quiet and droll.
"Ummm... so where are we going?"
"In this direction" he says flatly
"okay... why?"
"Las Vegas is over here somewhere, and we're going further than that."
"Seriously? I've come this far? Huh, that is very surprising."
"Man, you talk alot."
"Well I'm bored, you don't talk, you don't play, you don't do anything with me."
He shoots a glance at me and then continues walking.
"I don't think this is the time to be playing games."
"But what else are we supposed to do?" I whine
"I don't fucking know. We're walking, that's what I am doing, walking."
Well you're boring, and droll, and I don't like you very much at all!"
"You wanted to come with me you annoying little whelp!" he yelled in my face.
"Wel-"
Bang!
"Did you hear that? Sounded like a gunshot."
"I hope a stray bullet hits you in the back of the face..." I mutter to myself.
"What?"
"Nothing! Nothing at all..."
"Well... let's keep walking. Maybe we'll find somebody out here."
"Alright." I say with a sigh.
"Hellllllloooooo?!" the guy starts yelling at the top of his lungs, the wind carrying his voice off into the sand.
"You're going to get me killed..."

I pulled the clip from my Service Rifle and knocked it against the receiver and clacked it back in quickly cocking it. It was hot, maybe 110oF or 115oF. I could see some clouds off in the distance, not much more than that though. Could be a sign of coming rains though.I pulled my rifle up though and threw the sling over my right shoulder and slid the rifle behind me. I rolled my sleeve up a bit and rubbed my arm. A tattoo from when I was a recruit legionaire. SPQR in between two olive branches. I started walking towards the western mountains that ran along South Vegas and Westside. The trooper's info left me little choice but to climb it due to the Rangers moving into the South Vegas area to push back the advancing Westside milita. Westside isn't a bad place to stop though. Seems that after the NCR tried to annex them their hatred toward Legionaires took a back burner. As long as I mean no harm im welcome in Westside.
"Hmmm, maybe ill stop in for a visit at the Casa Madrid. They still take legion coin if im correct."
I stopped dead and pulled my rifle up. I heard some shouting in the distance. I dropped to the ground and crawled out behind a rock on a ridge over looking the pass to the posideon gasoline station. I knew they'd have to pass this road, so it began. Time to play the waiting game.

Name: James "Stabby" Briant
Age/D.O.B.: 27
Gender: M
Affiliation: None.
Species: Leopard
Home Base: The shack in the old nuclear test site.

Strength-5
Perception-6
Endurance-4
Charisma-3
Intelligence-6
Agility-4
Luck-7

Tag Skills:
-Science (Had to get around the vault somehow...)
-Energy Weapons (...and boy do some of those locked rooms have fun toys!)
-Melee Weapons (People don't take to calling you "stabby" for nothing...)
-Speech (... but it takes a sharp tongue to keep them from exiling you until after the fifth "accident.")

Perks:
-Meltdown
-Robotics Expert
-Sniper

-Ghoul — (Healed by minor radiation and very rad-resistant, reduced drug effects, charisma reduced despite speech tag)
-Holocaust Houdini — (Uncanny talent for escape, has even broken free of slaver collars a couple of times.)

Inventory:
-Combat knife
-AEP7 laser pistol (Even though energy cells are hard to come by, and I haven't had my hands on one for months, I still hold onto it.)
-.308 sniper rifle
-Basic leather armor

Pip-boy: Y

Background: Grew up in a vault, but had severe anger management issues, exacerbated by claustrophobia. Due to his violent outbursts, several attempts were made to constrain him, but he always found a way to escape. Eventually, he was forced from the vault, and he took up residence in a highly irradiated cave, resulting in rapid ghoulification. James is strangely obsessed with sharp objects. As a ghoul, he has no need to carry clean water or food; he can eat or drink almost anything he finds. His natural talent for using and maintaining energy weapons goes to waste, due to the limited supplies of ammo available.
