Apple's OS is based on Unix components.

It is not a Unix OS.

I predict a certain narcissistic individual is about to show his true colors in about two minutes.

OS X is utter shit and pretty much everyone already knows that.

You can't really protect it by saying it based on Unix components.

It's UNIX 03 certified. You can't be more of a UNIX OS; it's literally the pinnacle of UNIX OSs. It's the most commonly used UNIX operating system in the world.

I don't think you actually have any idea what UNIX is.

1) It's not just a component; it's a certification. It's a golden standard by which operating systems are judged regarding their quality and stability. DOS, on the other hand, is a pile of polished donkey-turd full of bugs and fatal flaws. Have fun with your blue-screens, Microsoft is going to be fighting those for a loooooooooooong time.

2) You have no authority on which to make the assertion that OSX is shitty. In fact, you appear to have no knowledge of the Apple operating system, or, for that matter, general computer terms. I highly doubt you've ever touched a system running OSX for longer than ten minutes. I've been using Apple products since 1995. One of the people in this conversation is more educated on this matter. The other person is you. You are simply regurgitating a popular and unfounded opinion shat out by a bunch of angry neckbeards on the internet. Those neckbeards were, in turn, inspired to have their opinions based on a number of FUD campaigns employed by Microsoft in the late 90's in an attempt to skewer the two biggest threats to their control; Apple and Open-source OSs.

3) Your opinion of OSX is probably based on your (also limited) knowledge of the iOS. Which is fairly ironic, since Windows 8 highly resembles iOS, and OSX can't be further from it in freedom or functionality. My computer is a paradise of open-source software and personal liberty; I have the ability to change anything and everything I want, because it's my computer and I can do what I want with it. Your computer, on the other hand, is a walled-garden designed to give Microsoft control over your life and the entire world.

4) Microsoft intentionally breaks their operating system so they can continue to sell you upgrades without actually having to do any real work. Windows Vista was simply 'that time they overshot it.'

So I will continue to use my stable, fast, useful operating system, and you can continue to use your buggy, sluggish, operating system that's 'better' for gaming. In the long run, I'll get more done, have more freedom, and spend less money.

I confess I believe im having the slowest, or longest anxiety attack ever. I havent slept in 3 days, the last time I ate anything was sunday, I picked up cigarettes again, and can't stand to be home longer than I would need to shower.
