Back in the old days you had Throbbing Gristle and Skinny Puppy. Now you have Nachtmahr and Uberbyte and Apop.

Yeah, it's kinda lost focus as a genre and is pretty much dead.

My dad listens to the old school stuff, and I find it pretty boring like along the lines of acid house
But at least it's listenable

The newer bands you mentioned, I know people who like them. And they all enjoy dressing up like this and hitting 'the club'
I'm convinced the fanbase cares more about this stupid fashion than about actual music, and just want a dumb beat, some awful out of tune synths, and some screaming in German to slit their wrists to/pound shots to/feel like a special snowflake/have anonymous sex in the bathroom and do coke and drink each other's blood or whatever these freaks do.
