So I went somewhere in Skyrim that was way too hard for my level (14)
I keep getting killed by bandits. fucking bandits
No amount of potions, shouts and spells can get me out of this, i guess I'll just have to come back and try again later
I did manage to kill a Blood Dragon just before finding the bandits, but man that was challenging...

Try walking everywhere in skyrim, I don't just mean not fast traveling, but skipping carriages and actually walking. Makes the place feel a bit more empty and peaceful, yet boring.

I'm trying to do that, skipping carriages and only fast traveling once I've discovered a location. I walked from Whiterun to Windhelm and it felt like FOREVAR
Also horses suck ass and it isn't even that much faster than sprinting. Even when the horse is sprinting. Well it could be a lot faster but it seems like it isn't because of the different camera angle. I hate third person view and the controls suck. But in any case when I get attacked every quarter mile anyway it's kinda pointless to ride on a horse. And you have to stop and get off to harvest things, read signs, talk to people, etc. And I can't draw a weapon either (wouldn't firing a bow from a horse be fucking epic bethesda? wtf is wrong with you?)

Man LOTR made horses seem so awesome but in Skyrim they're fucking lame

But I spend more time getting on and off the horse than I do actually riding it
And it's not like you can just jump right off, the horse has to slow down first

Its not the multiple buttons that needed to be pressed, its the amount of time lost, especially if you have a vampire character and time is important so you don't become weak as a day old babby in the sunlight.

I like how basically the Elder Scrolls' equivalent of Fallout's raiders know basically every type of magic there is, better than some of the game's actual mages.

Yep. I will say though, most vampires in skyrim look terrible because they look more like twilight, except Argonians. Argonians actually look 10x more badass as vampires, especially with war paint. I wish I could post pics, but its on 360.
