My internet is 3 megabits per second. Average in America is about 6 megabits per second. The very fastest connection I could buy from my current provider would be 40 megabits per second.

I think "the cloud" is the future, but internet speeds will have to increase 100-fold before it's practical to adopt cloud-based services for primary storage. The potential for that is awesome, but of course they'll find some way to fucking ruin it.

Imagine, being able to collaborate with someone across the world editing video in real time...
