Part of me wants to be that one person that completely throws off the circlejerk that goes on within the forums. The high-leveled players are like grouchy old men in that they want the game to remain in its stagnant, grindy state so that it appeals to their expectations and ideals and not to the expectations of the younger MMO audience. The 20-somethings and 30-somethings that still play to this day do not understand that the game itself cannot survive on their money alone, and that their unique player base shrinks while the younger player base increases. The amount of bitching the high-leveled players do on the forums per weekly update pretty much tells me that they are no longer satisfied with the product, and that they should probably take a hike and move the fuck on.

Wow, that last sentence makes me out to be a hypocrite.

But yeah, in addition, these guys literally try to dictate how lower-leveled players play the game.

Because Jagex listens to them (and only them) most of the time, these players basically help the company build the game around their terrible-as-shit ideas.

Did I mention these assheads get their own forum that has no moderator support, no censor, and the ability to link images? Who knew you had to max out every skill in the game just to receive features that every forum on the internet already has (well, besides the moderator bit).

I'm probably wasting my time, but it's funny watching these assholes try to justify why something in the game needs a nerf when it's horrendously obvious they're QQing because their hard-earned (see: mindlessly grinded) stats are downgraded by a newly-introduced minigame that promotes fun rather than Chinese Sweatshop-style gameplay.

I may dislike the game, but I hate the community more than anything.

Honestly, RS' graphics shit on WoW's when you turn them to maximum. Because RS is going into HTML5, it'll look even better. The videos speak for themselves.

But in general, don't play it. The community alone will make you ragequit within 4 hours.
