Seriously, I'm starting to wonder how anyone gets a job in the first place these days with this policy. Every employer says this now. How come EVERYONE isn't unemployed then?
Are people blowing managers to get jobs? Is there something I'm missing?

It's just like getting a credit card.

"Okay, sure."

"Sorry, you don't have enough credit history for us to trust you. Guess we should've checked that before we spammed you with 800 applications."

Nah that's the total opposite of how it is. They actually LOVE giving credit cards to college students. They set up kiosks at some universities and just hand them out, some colleges have banned them from doing that. They WANT you to default on your payments, they're hoping for it. Or at least that you'll be late on your payments so they can charge you exorbitant fees. They prey on young people who don't know what they're doing with money so they can rob them blind

As someone who currently doesn't have a job, this is going to sound utterly worthless, perhaps. But I wasn't always in this predicament. I'll tell you how I got every fucking job I've ever had. You convince the interviewer you're a good candidate despite your lack of experience. And it helps if the pool is relatively small. Seriously, you just figure out what it is these guys want to hear, and tell them whatever they want to hear. Because 90% of your job is going to be exactly that, telling people what they want to hear, regardless of the facts. That is essentially the job you're applying for, qualifications and job descriptions be damned. And the next job I have will probably he obtained the same damn way.
