the problem is that my family can't handle tense situations for shit. seriously, let me give you an example.

what started out as a conversation over what food to get at the store, ended with my mom holding a knife to my step dad. :U

I'm having an incredibly hard time making myself draw more... I'm so fucking lazy
I am drawing more than I used to though, but when I do draw stuff I immediately lament that I'm not drawing MORE. I should be drawing many many times the amount I am now. Most other artists draw a whole fuckton, why can't I?
Also, why does finishing a drawing not satisfy me the way it used to? :c

for like, 3 years, I drew maybe once every 3 months... lol. luckily that changed this past year. I've been drawing a lot more often.

basically, I used to draw like, 30 different things a day, then I had this feeling like I wasn't ever going to improve, so I pretty much gave up drawing for a few years, then realize I could actually get better.




...now all I need to learn is HOW TO DRAW HANDS. FFFffff-

I take it you don't have a very sturdy relationship with him. My stepdad's a huge prick, too.
He can get in a lot of trouble for threatening to kill you, especially if you're a minor. My friend got put in handcuffs over that.

this is basically my daily social life with friends:

say hi, be ignored, try to think of another way to get person's attention, still be ignored

go to bed thinking friend is avoiding me

one month later: get a reply from a friend.

go to bed happy

one day later: pretends I don't exist.

and so on. so about 90% of conversation is with myself... since I might as WELL be talking to myself.

There's a world of difference between the two though, and copying something is one of the best things you can do to learn. If I ever do that I'll always link to my source, like I did with my avatar. Or I'll just use a picture I took myself, which is better. The problem is when people take other people's original ideas and claim them as their own.

Yeah that too. Heavily reference might as well be tracing though. If you do it to practice that's all well and good but keep it to yourself? Or at least like you said don't claim any credit. 8|a

I find it incredibly ironic that whenever I post a drawing, it get's absolutely NO attention 90% of the time, yet the second I doubt my skills as an artist, everybody's like "aw no, you're an awesome drawer"

21 and still haven't touched alcohol. and I can enjoy parties... it's just rare because most parties I've been to, are filled with total douchebags
