And just about the time I'll be wrapping up MGSV, Fallout 4 will be out. God the escapism is real right now

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'd love to just play games all day, but I have classes, a senior project to worry about all year, and not much free time until the holidays and next summer.

Yeah, I spent the last year after graduation being a lazy bastard because after years of that shit I was burned out, but I got bored of the routine of wake up, make coffee, eat something, sit around my room all day and do nothing until I got antsy enough to work out or write, then laze around and do nothing some more because insomnia blows.

Now work takes up most of my time and I don't mind it so much, but fitting vidya into my life just isn't happening.

Got my asus from my brother running finally. Its running a lot more crisp now vs my old pc which means i can finally do proper gaming.

I'd say it's worth it if you can afford to put money aside for it.

Yeah I think all the locked threads are either General Chats that broke after page 67, or the shitposts from Foxy n such.

Christ, just seeing how much my fucking emotions fluctuated 3 years ago is amazing.

There was a lot of shitposting from a lot more people to be fair.

I look back on it sometimes and I can sort of see Riv's point when all that shit went down.

Ultimately he wasn't the only person who had overblown grudges with other forum members, and even if I personally didn't internalize it to the point where I held a grudge, I can still look at some of the stuff I posted and understand now how I came off as a caustic asshole.

I regret it, honestly. Because if recent events have taught me anything it's that sometimes you don't get a second chance to make things right and I don't think there was anyone on this forum I really disliked, even Riv. I'm just kind of an aloof guy and by consequence I don't put very much effort into trying to explain myself when there's a misunderstanding. If someone calls me an asshole I tend to run with it until for all intents and purposes they were right in a post hoc sort of way.

I've been trying to be more diplomatic, more amicable, and more open lately because even if I can't mend the bridges I've burned I should probably still try to maintain the ones I've got left.

Yeah I know what you mean. This forum had quite a few back and forths from a few people, none of us in the staff ever handled much...honestly, I was around mostly as a buffer to maybe relieve tension and lock threads if needed.

It was different for me. I've always had a lot of really weird emotional instability, and the state of the forum and how it was going wasn't helping with it. I mean, Riv wasn't around to help resolve a lot of the issues and would sometimes add to them depending (which only made it worse on me), and really I just wanted to be a mod that people could trust and come to for help or something, but I would get frazzled too easily from a few off comments and fall victim to my own emotional instability, which led to a lot of vindictive bitchiness from myself. And I can see it when I browse a lot of these threads and see when I get provoked by various people, instead of letting myself just kind of roll with things, I would just lash out and get really vicious about things. I'm not surprised that people here disliked me as much as they did at the time. Though, I have been working on not letting my emotions run me so hard like before, and I'd like to think I've made progress on that now.

I honestly never really disliked anyone from the forum. I would be upset with certain people for moderate durations of time, but it was never a consistent "I hate this person" kind of thing. And like you said, recent events kind of made me remember how I fell out with this group so much because of all this, and I still regret it so much. For the past few years, I had just been under the impression that everyone, excluding Lucy, Greg, and June, hated my guts for how things ended up on here.

I'm glad that it's been confirmed over the past month that that isn't the case, but still it's upsetting and I think about it often.
And I do very much miss this forum.

I don't remember hating anyone here. I posted few and far between though. Kept lurking and more used this forum for PM's.

I don't like looking in old threads. My PM box is impossible to read still.

Regardless, overall I'm doing pretty well now. I'm pretty much back to my usual self, for the most part. Some things are lingering, like an oppressing sense of boredom, a susceptibility to be more emotional over things and lack of motivation, but it's all manageable. I had a good week, I had a lot of fun. I can drink without being miserable. I can sleep. I still think about it a lot, but it doesn't kill me now.

I love all you guys. Seriously. You're all amaze.
