General Time Wasting Thread 6

Oh I know what it is I don't like about the mouse. It has a matte surface on the bottom, not a slick surface like the Logitech one. So it has too much friction with my rubbery-cloth mousepad. Aww but I like this mousepad!

And I keep accidentally shining the bright ass red laser into my eyes because it's right next to the on/off button.

Well, if MS would just use bluetooth like the rest of the tech world, this wouldn't be a problem.

(And if they just used the proper USB HID standards, your function keys would work out of the box.)

I actually have to resist the temptation to keep doing that. I could've just gotten a number pad, but I thought that would've been more awkward if it's not directly connected to a keyboard.

If you have an iPod or iPhone, there are apps you can get that operate as a numberpad.

At least on OSX, I'd also recommend KeyRemap4MacBook. It allows you to enable the virtual numpad they used to have on the iBooks and PowerBooks, where you can hold the Fn key and press

I just can't do stuff like screen brightness and shit.

WHOA, NO WAY
ScrLk and Pause act like the Dim and Brighten buttons. So it does do everything I need it to do!
I am only missing the Back/Forward buttons for iTunes and the switch window button but who really cares?

I hate it when that happens. Of course if enough fans liked it, someone will rip it and post it eventually. You just gotta be patient. It does seem though like that handful of songs that really stood out are the ones that don't get released on official soundtracks for some reason. Actually, I'm still waiting for someone to obtain the version of Tender Sugar that actually got used in Silent Hill 4 - the original/official version is great, but it's not that version, and the remix is fucking stupid (Akira really phoned it in on that soundtrack, probably because he knew the game was shit and couldn't be inspired by it)
