A few years ago, I had a friend who sent me an image. It was a screenshot from some imageboard, and they were discussing some old scary stories, and I unknowingly read through them. The one I was reading through was about some sort of creepy ritual people could do involving their closets, and...I really dont want to go into details, Im getting that paranoid feeling again thinking about that story. But anyways, while reading this, Im of course fucking freaking out because its creepy shit, and then out of nowhere, this random scary face just pops the hell up on my computer. I screamed and threw my laptop across the room (luckily it landed on the couch). Apparently, the image he sent me was a gif, and I was too stupid to check. So for a few months, I was terrified to even open my closet because of the story (with the added screamer face, it only made the effects worse), and now Im still afraid of looking at gifs and I check every image people send me for screamers.

Luckily I can go in my closet again, but Id rather not dwell on it, I heard a loud thump a minute ago, and it freaked me out and I keepmchecking beihnd me

Only reason I dont need to block my windows when I sleep is because I live on the second floor, and I can comfort myself with the thought that if someone wants to go through the trouble of getting a ladder and peer through the tiny windows in my room to watch me sleep, then why should I even bother covering any of the windows, theyd probably just break in and kill me anyways
