Since when? I thought the established reputation of DA's owners was that they were pretty homophobic, or at least their personal taste in art and the policies written around it reflected that. Seriously, just browsing for stuff in particular or just at random as recently as probably about a month ago yielded mostly the generic crap "angst art" you'd find anywhere. The main difference being loads and loads of breasts.

There's one guy on there I'm not sure if I should even give the publicity, but just researching for a pic I wanted to do at the time was like this guy had that one idea I had, but then it became the only idea he had. His gallery consisted of nothing but that one subject.

I'm not gonna say what the subject is because he clearly has a sexual fetish for it and I don't. Basically a single DA artist/photographer can do more to make me reconsider my stance on censorship and obscenity laws than even the entire cub era of FA.

I like to think of programs as having grammar, and AutoCAD's is Yoda speak. Once you understand that, it's pretty easy to navigate the commands. Also it's fun to talk it out loud while you do it.

I don't think it's bad, though, I just think it's pointless. GIMP does all the same shit for free.

So I went and did the homeless guy sidequest again, and this time successfully, without anything glitching. Only to encounter another glitch. When I came back to the tunnels later, all the doors were locked as if I'd never done anything. I love how the one thing that was a huge selling point of this game, "explore a massively huge Silent Hill, but don't worry, there'll be a way to get to the different areas quickly" is the one that is irreparably broken no matter what you do.

Basically imagine Fallout or Skyrim if you had to play the entire game without fast-travel. Downpour's world isn't quite that big by any stretch, but considering it's Silent Hill and you can never go most places by just following the map because roads are caved in, doors are rusted shut, streets are barricaded, etc. Yeah, that subway tunnel system was a must, and it's fucking broken.

So maybe those scores in the 6-7/10 range are justified, but all the reviews I read gave them for the wrong reasons. It's like they didn't even play the game long enough to find what was really wrong with it and just drew their conclusions once they lost their first few monster fights in the first few areas.

I just learned that the creator of one of my favorite online shows died of cancer on the 25th.
