Depends on the fish. Some of them have cartilage skeletons and you could bit through their chewy bones with relative ease. I'd recommend keeping clear of the ribcage, though, I reckon those are still fairly sharp and unpleasant.

Fuck, I have a speech to deliver in 6 hours and I just rehearsed it for the first time, it came out to 13 minutes and it's supposed to be 3-4 minutes

Identify the topic sentences and the main idea of each paragraph?

I talked as fast as I could and took the video out but it still was like 8 minutes. But I can't get my point across in any less time.

Whatever, she can take points off if she wants, I'm not freaking stopping until I'm done

This is the first speech so I haven't learned time management skills yet, that's my excuse

Without seeing the speech it's hard to offer much advise aside from just taking the gist of it and simplifying it. Generally if you have to talk fast you're doing it wrong. It kinda defeats the purpose.

I already took out like 75% of what I was planning to say
I'm too used to writing essays... I have no sense of timing whatsoever. But mainly, 4 minutes is an insanely short amount of time

Plus when my teacher introduced herself the first class her introduction speech must have been like 10 minutes long and she said that's what she wanted ours to be like

Dude, teacher's never mean that shit. They only say that because saying "none of you are nearly as smart, talented and capable as me and I totally expect your work to reflect that" isn't very polite and professional. Or, more optimistically, they don't actually expect yours to be just like theirs, they just want it to have certain things in common with it. In the case of a speech, I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess what she's looking for is the confidence, clarity and emphasis on making a simple but meaningful point that any good speech has. That can be done in 4 minutes.

It's not an essay, so you can't be verbose. You have to just have a point and make it in a handful of sentences that drive it home several times, without sounding too repetitive. So mix it up a bit, but keep your sentences short. Don't worry so much about using big words unless you really, really need a few. You probably won't though, unless there just aren't that many good, simpler synonyms, or you've already used them.

I bet if you read this very post aloud, slowly and clearly, it would clock in at about a minute at most. So there you have it. Now do something like that with whatever the topic is, then flesh it out a bit. But I'm guessing the 4 minute thing is more of a ball-park figure. Hell, I'd go as far as to advise going for 3 minutes, just to give yourself a bit of leeway. You won't have to rush and if the delivery is solid, it'll be received more warmly than a 4 minute speech you're speeding (and most likely stumbling) through.
