General Time Wasting Thread 37: Athenai Loves Her Subtitles

Do you ever have a really profound dream and then you wake up and realize that it probably didn't mean anything and your brain was trying to confuse you?

Like I was reading this book (I saw the movie first), it was told from the point of view of an 11 year old boy about his family (he was a genius). It was basically a sci fi thriller about trying to fix things and wondering if you did the right thing. Kind of a Doctor Who vibe to it. It was all about the flow of time and how innocent events are all connected. This family had basically tried to change history (something to do with a treasure chest and a spaceship) and it had appeared to work perfectly but the main character was worried it wouldn't stay that way. He was talking about how things are connected in time not just chronologically, but by their meaning and relationship to each other. The actual book was written with sections highlighted in different colors, and they were linked to each other by lines across paragraphs, so you had to read it in like two different ways to get the full story. It was like a meta book. It was fucking crazy and this shit was way over my head, but I totally wish this was a real book and I kind of wish I could write something like this now.

Not trying to discourage, I just had a story bout it.

I only smoke a couple rollies a day, and maybe the odd cigar, so I'm not too bad with my smoking these days. I'm happy with it like that, I think, because I still get sweet nicotine and don't feel like shit for overdoing it. It's not for everyone though, so good luck my moomoo waifu :3

I really ought to quit smoking, too. It's just hard, what with it being the only thing I can legally go out and smoke during a break at work or something.
