I actually decided to try again, and after shutting the computer down making an alt email, and restarting the game 4 times, I FINALLY got Section 8 working. Not the work FPS I played. I can't complain considering it was $10, but I sure as fuck can complain about the hassle of today's games. Thank goodness Steam does everything it can to keep consumers' shit managed efficiently.

Yeah, they came up with an upgraded version of it that can melee-stun you  Yeah you can slowly bash someone to death with a taser-shield and they can't fight back!
Oh but they nerfed the stun shuriken and exploding tomahawk a little and did some unnecessary weapon balancing, yay.

Oh and this update only took them like 6 months to do and only added one new map and no new guns or armor, and raised the level cap from 40 to 50 and added "infrared protection gear", which makes IR scopes even more useless.
They're only just now fixing team balancing and permabanning hackers who've been running rampant for months, and other various "duh" bugfixes because they've been too busy developing for the PS4
No wonder I don't play that fucking game anymore  

Damn every time I get mad at SOE for Planetside 2 I think just how much worse support for Blacklight is

so what's better? blacklight or PS2?

I'm hoping when I move, I can start using my computer again. I need to play online games so badly. I have like, 5 months-worth to make up

I honestly say Blacklight. Faster pace, WAY more fair with leveling and customization (takes a while to get stuff, but it's possible WITHOUT money and it's still possible to kill people who pay for their upgrades unlike PS2).

It's less demanding though still a bit up there in specs.

Though Tribes Ascend beats the shit out of both.  

Blacklight is a casual game
PS2 is more like a traditional MMO, that you have to invest A LOT of time and effort into to really get the full experience. If you're not up for that, don't bother. For casual players, it sucks. But if you get into it, it's basically the best game ever

I want to start piloting Liberators, they're basically flying tanks. I'm pretty good at piloting, but not really shooting, so it seems like a good fit for me.
I had a run with a good gunner who knew how to communicate, and we kicked ass with the stock gun that nobody uses (but is actually pretty good)

This is the default gun (not me of course)


Everyone either wants to use the armor piercing Dalton, which can one shot aircraft (but it takes crazy skill to do that) or the Zepher, which is rapid fire with large splash damage and just fucks infantry.

Gotta save up for the Dalton (1000 certs, no big deal)
Actually upgrading the Lib itself, that's gonna be a lot more certs

The Lucario looks extra. I think the black stripes running on his body kill it. Looks too much like a Digimon in my opinion. The spikes are pretty cool.

I don't think they're evos. I think they're just special forms.

Pokemon aren't supposed to have special forms unless they're legendaries.

Yet if you sent them out in a link battle they'd do nothing. Because those forms are weather/seasonal effects and don't do stat-boosts.

I've never watched a game journalist who I could agree on every 100+ topic he's ever done on his show. It's as if he reads my mind and makes videos on what I'm thinking. Even his feminist views on gaming sexism and Anita Sarkeesian make vastly more sense than...well fucking feminists themselves. I think the only thing I could disagree with him on is his taste in gaming, but I don't give a shit really.

Pulled a reverse maneuver (flying backwards) in a dogfight, was about to hit some rocks and miraculously dodged around them by about 5 meters, and remember, this is flying backwards  

I think the guy chasing me must have been like "HOLY SHIT"  because he went from trying to attack me to running for it and then I chased him down
