I don't really know how to improve my social skills, because I've always been shy.

I think the worst feeling is that I ended up being a disappointment to the people who wanted to meet me at the con. like this good friend of mine who basically no longer talks to me ever since the con... then again, he didn't leave the best impression, when he kept trying to get me in bed with him.

I just realized, with all this shit about used video games... if game companies ban used video games, and rely on only digital downloads, piracy is going to go up... so much.... sooooo much.

sure, game retail stores were making money off of used games, but at least SOMEONE was making money. now you're just asking for people to find a workaround for nothing but illegally downloaded free shit. :V

We are looking at the beginnings of the second great console crash. Eventually all the console companies will fail, then after a brief period of inactivity, all the bright computer science kids will develop specialized gaming computers that use new, open standard, advanced graphics tech. Over the next decade, it will be heavily commercialized, and ten years after that, we'll be back where we are right now.

This is true. And since video games have taught us all about weapon use, military assaults, and defeating evil villains, we'd probably make pretty damn good revolutionaries.

I totally look forward to installing 50 gigs on my 60gb PS4 hard drive, just to have four games at a time, and whenever I want to play another game, I have to uninstall one game, to make room for another. it all makes so much sense

This is why I love Steam's business model. It's so simple, it's not too obtrusive compared to other DRM systems, and when it comes to piracy, they pretty much just deal with it instead of making life miserable for everyone who is following the rules..

anyway, what's complicated about PSN is that to re-download a game you may have uninstalled (to save room for example) you have to go all the way to the PSN store, locate the game itself, and redownload it, opposed to steam, where you can uninstall it, and re-install it on the fly.

I actually spent four years with my PS3, COMPLETEY forgetting I had ever bought final fantasy VII on it (my memory sucks, so?), until the day I got bored, located it on PSN, and remembered that I bought it four years ago

I'm trying to understand how if we're going full digital, how big the hard drive is going to be. they're talking about how the new graphics card is going to be like, 7 times better and shit, so file size for games are going to be like, 15-20 gigs on average for next gen consoles :V (I don't even know. I'm just guessing. but metal gear solid 4 alone was 12 gigs)

Technically you can't even fully own cars anymore.
If you have OnStar your physical location is tracked at all times and your vehicle can be shut of by remote at any moment if they want to.
So you'll just get a car without OnStar? Good luck, it's pretty much in all the newer models.

Also Ford recently experienced a scandal where vehicles with My Ford Touch installed (remote ignition and touchscreen interface) experienced a catastrophic systems failure and were completely inoperable. (as in all of them. everywhere.) and Ford had to send out USB drives to everyone who owned one so they could reboot the system with a bug fix. The twist is that Ford didn't make the software, MICROSOFT did. (I was SO fucking smug when I heard that. +1 for Applefags)
