I think I'm gonna pre-order Ni no Kuni today with the money I was gonna use to buy Dead Space 3. I can't think of a convincing reason not to.

It's weird to be playing the old school Silent Hill games again after basically immersing myself in the worlds of Far Cry 3, Skyrim, Fallout, and Resident Evil 6 for so long. I mean I'd always study the little details in whatever room I was in, whether it was the Bluecreek Apartments, Tolouca Mall, Brookhaven Hospital, always admiring how much detail they tried to cram into what's really a pretty low-poly, low-res game by today's standards. So you'd think I'd know for certain by now that, no, that isn't a box of Sugar Bombs on the kitchen counter, and no, that bottle of wine can't be consumed to boost my melee attacks.

I love how immense game worlds are now.

Eh, a lot of the worlds are too immense for game developers to handle.

It's near impossible to properly bug test a game like Skyrim, and with Bethesda being a group full of dumbasses, we get releases full of bugs and bullshit.

Fucking cheaty Audiosurf, I just realized something
There are different versions of some songs, and the game thinks they're the same songs because they have the same title, even though they're different lengths and the "curves" for them are completely different than mine because they were mixed into a compilation album or whatever. That's why people get higher scores than me. Otherwise, I SHOULD get the high score, fucking jerks.

That's how it's always been.

Not everyone has the same track of the same song.

I finally got around to getting the last Serpent Emblem I needed just now. So that's another trophy down and all the expository files unlocked. On the downside, reading them will probably kill a lot of the game's mystery for me.

I'm near the end of Sniper Elite and the game is getting really hard now, the levels are really open and I get flanked from freaking everywhere

Gawd, I haven't even played this in like 2 weeks and I'm rusty as hell...

Edit: I totally scoped a guy from 240M away without holding my breath and on the first try, so I guess I've still got it

Well...

After two days (7 hours total of practice) I can safely say that I've mastered this boss. Beat him without dying/breaking/bombing a single time. No "luck dodges" either. A minor accomplishment, but I will revel in it. Now for the next 3.

I want to murder the level designer
And what kind of bullshit PC game has a checkpoint based save system? And their idea of ramping up the difficulty is putting the checkpoints further and further away as the game progresses, as well as making the levels harder. This would be doable if I could quicksave, but I have to put SO much effort into each checkpoint and am terrified to take any risks and then I just die from a couple gunshots and have to start over.

You had to BUY saves in Maximo. In game money of course.

Yeah it sucks when you get owned by people because they paid for really nice armor and have seemingly infinite health

Well it's still in beta and they haven't even added ranked matches yet

It's still very playable if you're decent and you don't care about your KDR. Honestly I sacrificed myself a lot for the team (which hardly anyone else was doing) and while my KDR wasn't that great I got a whole bunch of node captures and assists instead of camping somewhere the whole time. (the game gives you a ton of points for captured nodes anyway) People don't really want to be team players though... I honestly think I was probably responsible for my team winning a few times. That's all I really care about, but the way the gear system in the game is set up pretty much promotes selfishness, even though the game modes are geared for cooperation...

I finally got around to getting Black Label for Mushihimesama Futari. God Mode...is hard as fuck. :3
