That's exactly it. Nothing to do with the fact that prior to being annexed by the United States, Texas won its independence from Mexico. Like the United States did from Britain. Its just because their ignorant that they want to secede from the U.S. Funny also how the states directly below up to Colorado all seem to be former Confederate States, you know the one nation we fought in 1861. Don't take this personally but it pisses me off when people act like that.

They're worthy of ridicule because their attitude towards democratic process is to take their toys and go home when they don't get their way.

I still think that the Republicans in these 15 states that want to secede from the US are overreacting as well as being way too childish and rash, they're acting like the evil offspring of Hitler, Bin Laden, and Kim Jong Il became president. I don't recall any Democrats wanting to secede from the US when Bush got re-elected, and he was a far worse president than Obama in my opinion.
