General Time Wasting Thread 11

So... of course, Joel is pulling the "I am short on cash at the moment..." when I asked for his utility money. WHAT?! He just got paid on Friday. He should have the money for me. He is short? Please. I have to pay... $200 for movers, $377.50 for my DD and $377.50 for my pet deposit. That is $955. The upstairs portion of the utilities cost $300.

I get, at the most, 14 hours a week. In one month, not including taxes, I earn $728 at the most.

Does he realize how stressful this is for me? I sent him a little FB note saying as much, and that he had better E-transfer that money to me as soon as humanly possible.

Aja had better not pull the same thing.

If you're paying the rent and utilities of one of your roommates, it almost seems like it would be cheaper to kick them out. At least the utilities bill would go down.

The place I am moving into is giving me the last two weeks of this month for free... that is why I am moving early (my new roommate is a furry). I still have to pay DD and a pet deposit though, so those combined totals one full months rent of the apartment. I am hoping to get my $160 DD from this place back... but I've left two marks ont he hardwood floor, so I am pessimistic about that.

I am not paying my roommates rent. That'd be silly. Since the bills are in my name though, I have to pay them no matter what... even if they are late. Good news though, Aja sent her portion (though I am still waiting for the e-transfer email). Also, I just remembered the gas deposit... I have decided not to give it back. If they ask, I will just say that since they paid me late several times, the gas payment was late a few times and in order to get it back, we had to pay on time every time. I already didn't include the gas charge on this months bills for them. If I had, they would have owed me $130 instead of $95.

I am attempting to do what feels like a month's worth of work in the following 6 hours. No, I haven't really been procrastinating, MY TEACHER IS JUST INSANE
I am doing like 80% of the work in this group project. More than anyone else in the whole class actually. I am trying to get an A+ on it because I don't want to fail this stupid class and maybe this will make her decide to pass me I have like four other projects to work on, two quizzes I should be studying for, and sketches to do. There is NO fucking way I could do that unless I had a time turner. How does she expect anyone to fucking even pass her classes? This feels like senior year of grad school thesis - level work, but it's the second semester of community college, dafuq? I will just ignore all but two projects and one quiz for now. Actually just getting this one project done will be a challenge. If I fucking fail this class it means I drop below 12 credits for the semester, violating my FAFSA loan agreement Which means I am out of financial options and will have to drop out of school probably.

if a well-to-do successful straight A student can still barely stand a chance, what chance does a highschool drop out; whose standards are so low, getting a D would feel like a complete success; stand

pass this shit so I can hold out hope that I might have a chance at reaching such a level!

Well architecture is pretty much one of the hardest degrees, it's up there with law, medicine, animation, and engineering.
Most community college architecture programs are a piece of cake but this teacher is something else
She tells us it's much worse in the school of architecture and she tries to prepare us to transfer. She says your teachers at the university don't actually lecture anymore, they're called crits and they just judge your work. They won't give you any personal help. They have no patience for any incompetence and they tear you apart too. She said "the first time a teacher makes you cry, thank them." I get the impression it is psychologically a lot like the military. She's already been pretty hard on me in front of the whole class, that wasn't enjoyable

All I have to do is take english and calculus and I can get my drafting certificate. I will probably just do that. Honestly I can't even handle this associate's degree program... I do NOT have the backbone to go into this field...
