Showed up at the job site today and the General Contractor flagged me down. Said that the fire alarm panel in the old school was beeping and showed trouble, and could I check it out? This job site is a high school that's being renovated in phases as well as having two new buildings added, and the fire alarm has to continue functioning even while parts are being ripped out and others added. Sure, I say, and go into the part being renovated to see what's wrong. Someone probably cut a wire somewhere, no big deal.

And then I saw this:



Uhhhh... I think I found the problem; someone stole my walls. All of them. That's a remote power supply for the fire alarm that used to be mounted on a wall, now hanging by the wires. The yellow wires are for the security system.

Uhh, boss, this may take a wee bit more time to fix than I thought.

I was just playing skyrim and thought, man id love to go out in the wilderness with my sabre, axe, dagger and other gear. Then I remembered im going on a camping trip this summer...then another...and again. It feels like im preparing to become homeless yet at the same time like im playing IRL skyrim.

I enjoyed this pomegranate wine cooler.
