The thought had crossed my mind but there seems to be a recurring theme lately of me trying to do something for good reasons and just ruining things or otherwise regretting it so I think the best thing for me to do is nothing, ever, period.

Guys, this has got to be one of the primary
reasons people avoid conversations here. If you want to address your
problems with each other, sort them out in a mature manner with calm
discussion so we can understand what the fuck kind of issue it is you
guys have with each other. Otherwise, just give us some damn peace and
take it to the PM system. You're allowed your freedom of speech.
However, you shouldn't cause others to feel the need to avoid a place of
conversation because of your incessant need to rustle your target's
jimmies, only getting butthurt and retaliating when they decide to argue
back.

That's kind of impossible, the internet lacks so many important cues that you can and do act upon within nanoseconds of processing them irl that it ruins almost everything. I can see the looks of obvious displeasure creep across my friend's face when I say 'don't be an idiot' and understand that I need to dial it down a few notches and explain what I mean to soften the blow and make it understood that I don't think he's a giant dumbass. On the internet if I say something that could even be perceived as snarky towards someone that person is already furiously pounding away at their keyboard getting ready to cast me into the deepest bowels of Stygian hell with words because from their point of view I meant it maliciously when I called them an assclown.

And honestly I don't really know what kind of conversation you're expecting people to have in the absence of all the 'bitching'. Most of it was 'post porn', 'bitch about your day', or 'talk about video games' until invariably the conversation swerves too close to being serious and people just zone out of it because frankly most of you think with your dicks and not much else.

Disagreement is a part of life, talk to any human being long enough and eventually you will disagree about something. The problem is that furries are so avoidant and conflict averse that you feel the need to disparage others for socializing like healthy human beings and color the entire idea of disagreement as some grotesque shadow where your good vibes go to die. I've seen so many occasions where two people having a back and forth with each-other just get called shitheads for "arguing" in the thread. This mindset makes negotiating impossible because disagreement is inherently taboo and the only "mature" resolution is to ignore the other person completely, hope they do the same, and count your beans until one of you loses your self-control and this kind of thing happens.

I don't know how you can blame Tank for this when he's basically just
now standing up for himself after months of grudgingly being the

There's this really stupid thought-process that seems to get more and more pervasive every time I turn around: "Everyone is wrong knock it off guys" when 90% of the time there is a CLEAR distinction of who is in the right and who isn't to anyone who isn't some milquetoast wuss who just wants to be everyone's friend; principles and justice be damned.

The fact that you won't speak up about these kinds of things until it makes you so angry you want to quit the forums is why no one can have nice things. Why didn't you stick up for Tank before he had to do it himself and sequentially brand himself a troublemaker in your eyes?

It's because doing the right thing is hard and expecting things to just sort themselves out while you fuck off is easy; not that I'm any better, I pretty much threw my hands in the air and walked away for a week when last this thread was in use. The difference is I'm not chastising people for having the audacity to have a spine.

I don't know why so many of you internet weirdos have this 'in for a penny in for a pound' outlook towards others. Someone dislikes something about you or something you do and suddenly it's like they want you gone forever and are mortal internet-enemies.

Maybe the reason I see so many posts about being lonely and shit all over furry boards is because the vast majority of you think that friendship or positive interaction with others in general is impossible unless you are never scrutinized.

Please dont drag things from a closed thread in an attempt to continue the argument, especially if said things are what got the thread closed.

Ironically it was locked for being off topic for too long, and then you drag the argument into another thread where it remains still off topic.

I understand you have your complaints, but dont drag this shit where it doesnt belong. This thread was supposed to be just a general rules thread with the occasional suggestion, and ever since its random revival, its become nothing more than a shitstorm thread. Honestly this thing should have been locked long ago.

If youre looking for a place to further drag this subject that Ive stated I am trying to get fixed, please direct your attention to our Baww thread for all your complaints, though if it starts getting too shitstormy, Ill have to step in.
